Geomat is a three-dimensional plastic erosion control mat made from thermoplastic resin through extrusion and stretching.
It provides a porous structure that holds soil and seeds in place, helping vegetation grow and preventing surface erosion on slopes and embankments.
Geomat works by combining soil, roots, and the mat into one stable layer.
Its 3D network keeps soil particles in place while allowing roots to penetrate deeply, forming a reinforced green surface that resists rain and water flow erosion.
Geomat is made from high-quality thermoplastic resins such as HDPE or PP, processed through extrusion and heat-bonding into a multilayer mesh structure.
It also contains UV stabilizers for long-term outdoor durability and weather resistance.
To use Geomat, level the slope surface, unroll and anchor the mat with U-pins, then spread soil and grass seeds over it.
Water the surface regularly until vegetation covers the area completely, forming a permanent green protection layer. impermeability with hydraulic conductivity as low as 1×10⁻¹¹ m/s.

Surface Soil Layer
The topsoil provides a natural growing environment for vegetation. It fills the voids of the Geomat and anchors plant roots to the slope surface.
3D Plastic Mesh Layers
The Geomat is composed of multiple thermoplastic net layers fused together.
Its open, loofah-like structure offers over 90% void space, allowing soil, sand, and roots to interlock.
Vegetation Root System
As plants grow, their roots penetrate through the mat and intertwine with the mesh, forming a composite reinforcement layer that binds the soil and Geomat together.

When Geomat is laid on the slope and covered with soil, it acts as a flexible skeleton.
Before vegetation grows, it prevents rainfall erosion and keeps the soil in place.
After plants establish, the root system and the mat combine to form a strong green protection layer that can resist surface runoff speeds of 5–6 m/s and long-term UV exposure.
